Description
Johann Heinrich Wiederspahn and his family moved to Russia from Gelnhaar, where his wife Julianna, and children were born. Johann Heinrich himself was born in Usenborn.
Johann Heinrich & Julianna arrived in the port at Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 along with their children: Johann Adam (age 17½), Elisabeth (age 15), Johann Heinrich (age 12), Georg Ernst (age 7), Johann (age 6), Anna Maria (age 4), and Johann Leonhard (age 2½). They arrived in Walter on 25 August 1767 along with newborn Barbara (age ¼), but without Anna Maria who evidently died in route. The family is listed on the 1767 Census of Walter in Household No. 61.
