Description

Johann Philip Rahn (son of Martin Rahn) and Anna Elisabetha Dietz (born 9 Jun 1718, daughter of Peter Dietz) married in Sellnrod on 30 Jan 1742. They arrived in Russia on 15 Sep 1766 with five children, all born in Sellnrod on the following dates: Johann Peter, 17 Nov 1742; Johann Jacob, 20 Aug 1744; Johann Conrad, 3 Dec 1748; Johannes, 1 Oct 1757, and Johann Heinrich, 16 Oct 1760. The family settled in Walter and is reported there on the First Settler’s List in Family #67. The surname is generally spelled “Rohn” in later records.
