      Johann Michael Röth was born in Binsig and baptized on 24 May 1733 in Wald-Michelbach. He immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) where he married on 14 April 1760 in the colony of Altona to Eva Katharian Krämer. She had been born in Siedelsbrunn and baptized on 5 February 1737 in Wald-Michelbach.
      In 1763, the Röth family immigrated to Russia, arriving in the colony of Anton on 7 September 1764. They are recorded there along with their children (Johann Michael, Johann Christian, and Eva Catharina) on the 1767 census in Household No. 7
