      Johann Konrad Bär was born in Nidda, Hessen, Germany. He married Anna Katharina Erck, daughter of Johann Christoph Erck & Anna Margaretha Runck. She was born 26 December 1721 in Nidda. They, two daughters, and Anna Katharina's father arrived on 15 September 1766 in Oranienbaum. The Bär family settled in Yagodnaya-Polyana where they are listed on the 1767 Census while Anna Katharina's father settled in Frank.
