It is not a primary intent of the Center for Volga German Studies to research the genealogies of the Volga Germans. However, the Center does collect family histories, pedigree charts, and other materials that provide genealogical information, and their use for this purpose is certainly not prohibited.
It is also understood that genealogical information can be valuable in researching other disciplines such as medicine, education, politics, and socio-economic migration. For this reason, the Center maintains a "Volga German Master File" of genealogical data.
