      This year marks the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the first five German colonies along the Volga River in Russia: Anton, Beideck, Dobrinka, Galka, and Schilling.
      In celebration of this anniversary, the Center for Volga German Studies at Concordia University is hosting a series of programs in conjunction with the Oktoberfest being held in Hays, Kansas, on Friday, 10 October 2014.
      The public is invited to attend and there is no fee to attend any of the CVGS programs outlined below.
Location

The CVGS will have a tent space in Frontier Park during the day on Friday.

All CVGS programs on Friday evening will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2000 Main St., in Hays.

The CVGS has made no specific arrangements with hotels in Hays.
