Concordia University Bell Tower on the Campus Green
      This year marks the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the first five German colonies along the Volga River in Russia: Anton, Beideck, Dobrinka, Galka, and Schilling. The Center for Volga German Studies at Concordia University is hosting a conference on the campus of Concordia University - Chicago in River Forest, Illinois, in celebration of these anniversaries!

The public is invited to attend.

Registration

Pre-Registration is $15 (registration postmarked on or before November 3).
Onsite Registration is $20 (registration after November 3 & at the door).

To register & pay by check, print the Registration Form and mail it in with your check. Mailed registrations must be postmarked by November 3 to qualify for the early registration rate.

Location

All sessions will be held on the campus of Concordia University - Chicago [campus map - Building 13] in the Koehneke Community Center.
Parking

Parking is available in the University Parking Structure off Bonnie Brae Place along the east side of the campus. There is no charge for parking for this event.

Following is the schedule of presentations, each by Dr. Brent Mai, Director of the Center for Volga German Studies at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon:

1:30-2:15 Session 1: Introduction to the Volga Germans and their Heritage
   
2:30-3:15 Session 2: Genealogical Resources for the Volga Germans
   
3:30-4:15 Session 3: The 1941 Deportation of the Volga Germans
   
4:30-5:15 Session 4: The Volga Germans of Argentina
