This year marks the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the first five German colonies along the Volga River in Russia: Anton
, and Schilling
. The Center for Volga German Studies at Concordia University is hosting a conference on the campus of Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, in celebration of these anniversaries! This conference will include sessions on each of these colonies, but will focus on Dobrinka
, and Schilling
because of the number of descendants from these colonies in Central Kansas and Oklahoma.
The public is invited to attend.
Early Registration is $25 (registration on or before July 25).
Onsite Registration is $30 (registration after July 25).
Child Registration is $15 (age 12 & younger, register any time).
Registration includes your choice of sessions and lunch.
