Herzog (also: Susly, Sussly). 51º29' N 46º43' E.

Founded: 14 July 1766 by LeRoy & Pictet. There were 32 families in the original settlement. Seventy of these people were male, seventy-one female with a total of 141 people.

Denomination: Roman Catholic.

Population: 114 (1767), 127 (1769), 141 (1773), 196 (1798), 1290 (1859), 2357 (1912), 1143 (1926).
